ASBURY PARK -- Henry Vaccaro's phone started ringing today
at around 5:30 p.m. and showed no sign of letting up as the
night went on. Michael Jackson was dead and Vaccaro was
suddenly sitting on a gold mine.

After a lengthy legal battle with the Jackson family earlier
this decade Vaccaro, the owner of Vintage Pop in Asbury Park,
managed to win a trove of Jackson memorabilia, including roughly
60 unreleased master tapes from the King of Pop, containing early
demos never before heard by the public.

"It's the real Michael Jackson -- when he was 14, 15 years old,"
said Vaccaro said, who was fielding calls from the media, lawyers,
agents and collectors.

Vaccaro has had a long and turbulent relationship with the
Jackson family since the late 1980s. He first met Jackson's
father, Joe, after the family expressed interest in buying
shorefront property in Asbury Park.

Vaccaro said he had first met Tito Jackson in the 1980s when
-- as part owner of the Kramer Guitar company --
he would make him custom guitars.
